For another year, Jadek & Pensa had the pleasure of hosting the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot Competition<\/strong>, where Slovenia\u2019s top law students competed in a demanding arbitration setting. This year, teams from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law<\/strong>, and the University of Maribor, Faculty of Law<\/strong>, demonstrated outstanding legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and readiness to tackle complex issues in international commercial arbitration.<\/p>\n

Why Do We Organize the Pre-Moot?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Vis Moot<\/strong> is one of the most prestigious international student competitions in international commercial arbitration<\/strong>. Pre-Moot events like ours provide teams with an invaluable opportunity to test their arguments in a realistic setting and engage with experienced practitioners acting as arbitrators.<\/p>\n

Such competitions foster analytical precision, structured argumentation, and strategic thinking\u2014core skills required in high-level dispute resolution practice.<\/p>\n

Arbitrators from Jadek & Pensa<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s simulated arbitration proceedings were conducted before two tribunals composed of:<\/p>\n

Drawing on their extensive experience in commercial law and dispute resolution, the arbitrators challenged the teams with demanding questions, tested the robustness of their arguments, and encouraged strategic and precise legal reasoning.<\/p>\n

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Janja Zaplotnik, Nejc Humar, and \u017diga Urankar<\/strong> for their contribution to the successful organisation and execution of this year\u2019s Pre-Moot.<\/p>\n

A Highly Competitive Round<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The competition unfolded in a dynamic and intellectually rigorous atmosphere. Both teams demonstrated impressive advocacy, composure, and depth of legal analysis in presenting their cases.<\/p>\n

We congratulate all participants on their preparation and professional performance. Competing at this level is already an achievement and an important step toward the final rounds in Vienna and Hong Kong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
